In Polymer Research center which is affiliated to RIPI, we have recently started working on using gel polymers based on poly acrylamide to reduce the mobility of water in oil producing wells. We are very interested in applying appropriate gels in some Iranian oil reservoirs with high temperature about(90 C) and high salinity ( 250,000 ppm).
